Collection: Royston Ribbon

Royston Ribbon Turquoise always brings me back to rivers. Our life lines. The reason we can exist in this world. 

 

On one of my backpacking trips in the Shasta Trinity Alps, my partner and I followed a river upstream for 4 days. With each day the river diminished, turning into a stream and then eventually a creek. By the end of day 4 we had reached its source. A lake fed by melting ice and snow, pouring off into a waterfall, crashing into the makings of the stream. It was a potent moment. To see and remember where our water comes from. Looking at that lake I thought- how long can it feed this river?! How long? Fresh water is magical, ya'll.
